Mouton Rothschild
"First Classified Great Growth in Pauillac, it is considered to be one of the greatest wines in the world. Its story is the one between a magical encounter between a soil, a climate, and the passion of a man, Baron Philip of Rothschild (1902-1988). He is the initiator of complete bottling in the château. He built the famous Great Cellar in 1926. In 1962, he designed the Private Museum of Wine in Art, which gathers three thousand years of valuable objects dedicated to vine and wine. Some pieces are truly beautiful, coming from nearly every civilization across the ages."
Vinorama
Created thanks to the participation of Bordeaux artists and craftsmen, and set in the Ryst-Dupeyron cellar, the museum relates key moments of the Bordeaux wine history since Gallo-Roman times up to the 19th century. The presentation shows reconstituted scenes with costumed characters. It is supplemented by an audio commentary in French, English, German, Spanish, Italian and Japanese. Wine can be purchased on the spot.
House of Wines - Cloister of Harvests
"Guided tour of the cloister of harvests built in the 17th century on vestiges from the 12th century. Presentation of the Bergeracois vineyard, initiation to wine tasting. The house of wines in old Bergerac, is in the heart of the wine road. A visitor bureau is available to help you tour the vineyards. "
Loudenne
"Château Loudenne is a charming chartreuse of the 17th century, which belonged to one of the oldest families of the French nobility. A magnificent domain of 120 hectares overlooks the wide Gironde estuary, towards which the vineyard goes down on a gentle slope. Points of interest: the Victorians in Médoc exhibit, in period cellars, that the Gilbeys brothers built in 1876. The exhibit relates the history of the vine through daily tools and objects. Stemming from a successful association of ancient art and modern techniques, the château Loudenne wines are exported throughout the world. "
